Hattar Association of Trade & Industries (HATI) was established in 1984 and till now it has been gradually developed in 6 phases. The 1443 Acres Economic Zone is one of the major manufacturing hubs of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province with more than 400 manufacturing units operating in it.
The industries located in the estate comprise units of textile, printing, battery manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, food and beverages, ghee, cement, steel manufacturing, chemicals, mineral and processing mills, cosmetics, and more. A large workforce is employed, including female workers.
